Rwanda Orphan Care PEACE Trips

You can make a lasting difference in the life of a child!

Saddleback PEACE Teams are helping children get out of orphanages and into families! Children are learning about the love of Jesus through the love of a family of their own.

Join the over 1,000 other people who have travelled to Rwanda on a PEACE trip, but be among the first to go on a specific trip designed around orphan care. You can help local churches as they partner with the Rwandan government, which has decided to empty all its orphanages by 2014. Of the 35 orphanages, 5 have already been emptied as children are placed into permanent families within Rwanda.

What will I do on an Orphan Care PEACE Trip?

Orphan Care PEACE trips will train local churches in promoting adoption, assisting newly adoptive families, and training lay social workers within churches. We’ll teach you need to know, and help you or your family make a difference in ways you’ve always dreamed. Each trip is uniquely designed around the needs of the local church in Rwanda at the time of the trip, and the unique skills of the team traveling to Rwanda.

Do I have to be a professional?
No! We will provide all the training you need – simple tools and techniques for caring for orphans that you can pass on through the local churches in Rwanda.

Do I need to be a Saddleback Church member?
No, but attendance and participation are required at the multiple training sessions held at the Lake Forest, CA campus.

When can I go?
Trips are scheduled throughout the year, and the average trip is two weeks long. Let us know when you would like to go and we will get you connected to a trip and a trip leader.

How much does it cost?
The average trip costs approximately $3,500. We can show you how to raise support to help fund your trip.
